After decades of successful cooperation, we are very pleased to congratulate our sales manager Günter Fersch on his 30th company anniversary. As an employee from the very beginning, Mr. Fersch has been instrumental in developing GREMCO into a reputable, widely respected company with the highest quality standards while establishing a positive, productive, and collegial corporate culture. With his comprehensive product knowledge, his experience from three decades as well as his affable demeanor, Mr. Fersch is more than ever an indispensable part of our team.
Asked how Mr. Fersch came to GREMCO, he answers in typical humor: “By car!” In fact, Günter Fersch’s employment with the company began shortly after he started studying economics in Augsburg. Looking for a job to finance his studies, the student became aware of GREMCO through a classified ad and decided to work for the company due to the serious impression he received. Initially, his work started as a part-time job during the semesters and full-time employment during the semester breaks. Originally, Mr. Fersch was mainly employed as a warehouse worker. After a short time, however, he also proved to be a gifted salesman in the office, where the student quickly excelled in product management and order processing.
Although not planned initially, Günter Fersch was fully retained by GREMCO after completing his studies in mutual interest. In his new role as a full-time member of the company, Mr. Fersch for the first time dealt with the areas of field sales and quality control. A step that would significantly shape his future career. In the following years, the sales expert concentrated mainly on the field service in various regions in Germany and abroad. In particular, GREMCO’s strong customer base in the automotive sector can be attributed to Mr. Fersch’s continuous, meticulous work.
As the sales team grew over the years, Mr. Fersch consequently rose to the sales manager position. An assignment that he continues to fulfill and shape very successfully to this day. After decades of working in day-to-day business with countless experiences, the sales manager has become increasingly involved in the strategic side of the business in recent years. Supported by his wealth of experience from three decades, Günter Fersch today manages the shape and structure of the sales force – whereby the next assignment in the field is always only a question of time.
Like the rest of the world, GREMCO has changed and evolved enormously over the last decades of dynamics and growth. Consequently, the company has transformed from a small family to a large family operation. According to Günter Fersch, product portfolio as well as customer base in particular have diversified across industries. For example, GREMCO originally focused on small customers in the industrial electronics and aviation sectors. Since then, according to Mr. Fersch, various new industries such as the automotive sector, large-scale industry, and the medical sector have been developed without neglecting established markets. Our customer base has also been enriched by numerous small as well as large customers.
As a result, GREMCO has seen considerable growth in employees, sales, and prestige, in no small part thanks to Mr. Fersch. In addition, the sales manager was able to testify to a constant professionalization and modernization of the company structures – from the standardization of internal processes to digitalization in all areas of the company.
Günter Fersch’s employment with GREMCO began when it was common to spend the entirety of a career with a single company. Although these times are long gone and staying with one company for decades is the exception, Mr. Fersch always remained with GREMCO. The sales manager is very happy about this today. He was able to gain numerous exciting experiences, to actively shape the development of the company over decades, to significantly influence the corporate culture, to identify himself with his work for GREMCO and to develop personally. Continuity was always of great importance for Mr. Fersch. Thus, GREMCO’s continuity with regard to the team of employees, the customer base, and the family business structure, despite all dynamics, is not least due to Mr. Fersch’s influence. A continuity without which GREMCO’s growth in the past decades would not have been conceivable.
In this sense, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to Günter Fersch for his outstanding achievements, his meticulous way of working, his dedicated cooperation, and his friendly as well as humorous demeanor and congratulate him on his 30th company anniversary.
