Elastomer heat-shrinkable tubing
The high-temperature resistant, and very durable elastomer FITCOTUBE® heat shrink tubing is widely used for cable sheathing. The product exhibits outstanding oil and fuel resistance and can be safely used at ambient temperatures between -74 °C and +150 °C. These characteristics allow applications in aircraft and vehicle construction, for example, where extreme mechanical, chemical and thermal stresses are encountered. Furthermore, these types of heat shrink tubing are suitable for the protection of measuring probes which are exposed to high temperature loads and aggressive media.
Further, the FITCOTUBE® is also available using the fluoroelastomer Viton®+ as its base material. This material offers the advantages of being able to withstand even more demanding temperatures and has a higher shrinkage rate than conventional elastomer heat-shrinkable tubing.
With elastomers, and especially Viton®+, as a product material, GREMCO’s quality assurance enables us to offer products that are easy to process and resistant.
