EPDM in electromobility: proven but costly solution for cooling lines<\/h2>\n

The use of EPDM foams for cooling lines in electric vehicles is widespread. These foams offer impressive temperature resistance of up to 150 degrees Celsius and therefore meet the high demands in terms of cooling water in the desired temperature range. However, this quality often comes at a high price, which is a challenge in the electromobility industry, which is already characterized by cost and efficiency considerations.<\/p>\n

PE foam (polyethylene foam) is nothing new – it is already widely used as thermal insulation in heating systems in buildings. A particular challenge here is the requirement for very small diameters, which present difficulties for conventional production systems.
