For example, they can be utilized to insulate and protect (temperature) sensors and electrical connections at high temperatures. Frequently, <strong>PTFE heat shrinkable tubing<\/strong> from GRMECO is used, for example: to protect PTC \/ PTC thermistor sensors or NTC \/ hot conductor transmitters. Another area of application is the protection of cables and components in the fields of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gremco.de\/en\/automotive-industry\/\">automotive<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gremco.de\/en\/aviation-industry\/\">aerospace<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gremco.de\/en\/medical-equipment\/\">medical<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gremco.de\/industrietechnik\/\">environmental technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>By using different fluoroplastics, fine-tuning for the desired application is possible. In particular, the processing temperatures and the desired final condition can be greatly influenced. GREMCO can also produce FITCOTUBE\u00ae heat shrinkable tubing made of fluoroplastic in individual special colors or special designs. A special variant of these shrink tubes is the <strong>medium temperature dual shrink tubing<\/strong> made of fluoropolymers. This is a specialized new development in the form of a dual-wall heat-shrink tubing that combines the exceptional material properties of the fluoroplastics PTFE and FEP.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-9700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gremco.de\/app\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Mitteltemperatur-Dualschrumpfschlaeuche-aus-Fluorpolymeren-1.jpg\" alt=\"Medium temperature shrink tubing\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Structure and properties of medium temperature dual shrink tubing.<\/h2>\n<p>GREMCO&#8217;s medium-temperature dual shrink tubing is composed of an outer layer of shrink tubing and an inner layer of FEP. At sufficient heat (210-250 \u00b0C depending on the version), the outer tubing shrinks to form a tight-fitting protective layer. At the same time, the inner layer melts and stably encapsulates the surrounding components. The encapsulation of the dual-shrink fluoropolymer tubing is so tight that it can withstand even extreme mechanical stresses and seal the tubing both watertight and airtight. In addition, the outer layer ensures the high-temperature tolerance, UV resistance, chemical inertness, and electrical resistance typical of fluoropolymers. Our dual shrink tubing is designed in different versions with varying wall thicknesses, shrinkage, and working temperatures.<\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-9702\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gremco.de\/app\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Mitteltemperatur-Dualschrumpfschlaeuche-aus-Fluorpolymeren-4.jpg\" alt=\"Medium temperature shrink tubing\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Application areas<\/h2>\n<p>GREMCO&#8217;s flexible PTFE and FEP dual heat-shrinkable tubing is extremely easy to process independently. Furthermore, it&#8217;s ideal for a wide range of applications. For example, they are often used to protect soldered and crimped connectors thanks to their moisture-proof seal and flame-retardant properties. Furthermore, the dual shrink sleeves can be used to seal high-temperature line connections (hot conductor and cold conductor connections) or to encapsulate temperature sensors in temperature-intensive areas. For example, in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gremco.de\/en\/magazin\/heat-protection-electromobility\/\">electromobility<\/a>, medical technology, or the aviation industry.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, tight, moisture-resistant coating of wires, cables, connectors, splices, terminals, and similar components is also possible by utilizing said tubing, irrespective of the application. Last but not least, short sections, so-called shrink sleeves, can be easily assembled without risking the separation of the layers. Here, dual shrink sleeves are used to permanently insulate and seal cable connections.
